Library

Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, founded in 1953, is a special organisational unit that provides library and information services for all levels of scholarly and educational activities, scientific research and studies. The library functions as a higher-education library and its holdings are intended exclusively for the needs of the Faculty professors, researchers and students.
 
MISSION

Faculty library is a scholarly and informational professional service whose programme and tasks arise from the research and scientific-educational activities of the Faculty. The primary function of the Library is acquiring, collecting, sorting, storing, processing and securing the use of the library holdings and ensuring the flow of information. The library adapts to new information technologies and seeks to become a modern informational and educational centre of the Faculty.
 
LIBRARY HOLDINGS

Libraries holdings fulfil the needs of the study and scientific research activities at the Faculty. The holdings consist of books (manuals, textbooks, collections, encyclopaedic editions, dictionaries, fiction), magazines and newspapers. In addition, the holdings include the of collection master’s theses and doctoral dissertations. Complete information on the holdings can be found in the printed catalogues and since 2003 in the online catalogue as well. Electronic information sources and online databases are also available in the library. Interlibrary loan allows the loan and use of library materials from other related libraries.

OPENING HOURS

The library is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. The circulation section of the library is located on the third floor (room 304) of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Staff offices and storage are located on the first floor (room 130 -134).

Library users can use Knjigomat (book return box) for discharging books. Books deposited in Knjigomat by 16.30 will be discharged on the same day, and those deposited after 16:30 will be discharged on the next workday.
